The Grass Roots Process was created by Richard Tighe of London Ontario who has over 20 years of direct lawn care experience. Through the development stages the Grass Roots process in 2001 and 2002, he was able to offer his clients a personalized nutritional management process for their lawns. This personalized nutritional management process reduced the need for reactive based products (such as pesticides) to less than 6%....amazing reduction! In 2011, the Grass Roots process evolved technically to help in many plants beyond turf grass and as the year unfolds, new service offerings will be provided for both vegetable growth or ornamental plant growth. The new company A Growing Necessity was created by Richard in 2011 to reflect the need, the necessity – of soil testing – in order to restore soil health to maximize plant growth.

This process is offered to everyone in both Canada and the United States! You can do it yourself, or if you wish to use a Lawn Care Professional, we can provide you choices in your area that uses the Grass Roots Process.
